INGREDIENTS

  • 1 . 4 slices brown bread
  • 2 . 1 eggs, beaten
  • 3 . 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 . 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
  • 5 . 2 tsp. all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 6 . few tsp. rice bran oil
  • 7 . 1/2 tsp. sugar (optional)

    DIRECTIONS

  • 1. Mix the ingredients listed from 2 to 5 together in a bowl. Beat well.
  • 2. Heat a flat bottomed griddle.
  • 3. Dip the bread slices in the beaten mixture on either side.
  • 4. Heat few teaspoons of rice bran oil on a flat bottomed pan. Allow the oil to spread on all sides of the pan.
  • 5. Place the coated bread on the flat bottomed pan and cook on either side.
  • 6. Flip and cook until lightly browned.
  • 7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and enjoy.
  • Note: Sugar can be used instead of salt to prepare sweet French toast.
