Aldi and Lidl urgently recall products that contain small pieces of metal – warning

The FSA said: “Müller is recalling several products because they may contain small pieces of metal due to a production fault.” Müller is recalling the products and putting notices in stores to inform customers.

These notices read: “As a precautionary measure Müller is recalling some batches of Müller Fruit Corner and Müllerlight, Müller Bliss Mascarpone Style Yogurt and Müller Rice, due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal in the product.”

It adds: “No other Müller products or batches are affected. Consumers should return the product to the store where they were purchased for a refund.

“Consumers can also contact Müller’s consumer care team directly at: [email protected] or 01630 692000.”

Lidl and Aldi have also issued their own notices about the products.

More food products have been recalled over health concerns recently. 

Waitrose is recalling the Heston Mushroom & Gin Sauce because of mustard that is not on the label.

A number of NO CHEESE products are being recalled from Iceland as they contain milk not mentioned on the label.

Those with intolerances or allergies to milk or milk derivatives should be careful, as should those who avoid animal products for ethical reasons.

Lidl is recalling Kania Oregano due to the health risk posed by pyrrolizidine alkaloids. Pyrrolizidine alkaloids can cause liver disease if consumed over long periods of time.

Only products in England, Wales and Scotland are affected, not other products sold internationally.

Sainsbury’s is recalling its 10 Vegetable Gyoza with soy and ginger dip because some packs contain prawns not mentioned on the label, posing a health risk to allergy sufferers.

Sainsbury’s and Tesco and both also recalling various pestos.
