Supermarket chains, Lidl, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s have issued food warnings as salmonella may be present in some products. Packs of houmous have been recalled in the stores as they could be damaging to consumers’ health. The recall follows other houmous products which were recently recalled from stores including Asda, Aldi and Iceland.

Lidl urgent food recall: Allergy risk warning – full list
The warning has been issued as the items pose the risk of salmonella, which could result in symptoms including cramps, sickness and fever.
Last week Zorba Delicacies Limited – who supply houmous products to various supermarkets – issued the recall and it has now been extended onto other items.
The Food Standards Agency said: “Zorba Delicacies Limited is further extending the recall to include additional brands and flavours of houmous because the products may contain salmonella.”
