Tesco, Asda and M&S update social distancing rules to cut queue times
M&S cafés were temporarily closed when the coronavirus lockdown began in the UK.
As restrictions ease, the retailer has gradually reopened branches with new social distancing measures in place.
This week, 83 more branches will open, bringing the total number of cafés operating to 201.
This will include some branches in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds.
New menu prices
When visiting branches, customers will be able to pick up their favourite items including coffees, toasties and soups.
In line with the cut in hospitality VAT, those visiting will also notice new reduced prices.
An M&S statement said: “Customers dining-in at a distance will be able to enjoy great value hot food and drink.
“Following the cut in hospitality VAT, every single item on the M&S Café menu has been reduced with the VAT cut fully passed on to customers.”
Shopping rules
To keep customers and colleagues safe, the retailer will continue to enforce social distancing rules.
Hand sanitiser stations have been placed at the entrance of every café for customers and colleagues to use.
Tables have also been set up a minimum of one metre apart and individual condiments will be available.
