Let’s face it: Life would be so much better if we could just sit around all day and eat candy.
But alas, we’ve got to make that money, and having a job kind of gets in the way. Lucky for those that agree with this statement, Mars Wrigley has a seemingly incredible internship that would mean you would never have to separate work and sweets ever again. It’s called the World’s Sweetest Internship, and it’s back for the second year in a row.
Mars Wrigley is the powerhouse behind many of your favorite candy, chocolate and gum brands, including M&M’S, Skittles, Lifesavers, Dove, Starburst, Snickers, Juicy Fruit, Hubba Bubba and more. The internship, which will take place over eight to 12 weeks at their global headquarters on Goose Island in Chicago, will allow interns to explore behind the scenes of each brand, doing everything from participating in the candy-making process to helping bolster their social media presence.
Interns will also have the chance to visit nearby manufacturing sites to see all the new Mars Wrigley products on the horizon, and sample candies from around the world that haven’t yet reached the market. They’ll even get to create a personalized batch of chewing gum and mix and match different flavors in the product labs to discover the best new combinations.
The best part of the internship (besides all the candy, of course)? It’s fully paid, with a signing bonus of one year’s worth of candy.
Ready to apply? Better make sure you qualify. Applicants must be high school graduates, though a college degree is preferred. They must also be at least 21 years of age as of May 20, 2019, but still possess “the mindset of a kid in a candy store,” as it says on the website. A passion for Chicago, community involvement and candy (duh) are also necessities.
Check out the internship website for more information, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed on your behalf!
