McDonald’s menu has changed drastically since the American restaurant chain first came to the UK decades ago, with new additions like the vegan wrap and mozzarella dippers having appeared in recent years. However, McDonald’s also removes items from its menu from time to time, much to fans’ disappointment.
From next Wednesday, 5 May, five popular items will no longer be available on the McDonald’s menu.
These items include three burgers and two McFlurry’s.
The burgers to be axed are the Big Tasty, the Big Tasty with bacon, and the Chicken BBQ Smokehouse Burger.
McDonald’s Big Tasty is comprised of a beef patty, a slice of Emmental cheese, lettuce, onions, and sauce, topped with a sesame bun.
The McFlurry’s to be removed from the menu are the Cadbury Crème Egg and the Cadbury Caramel flavours.
All five items were on the McDonald’s menu temporarily, after being reintroduced at the end of March.
At the time, McDonald’s told customers that the items will only be available until 4 May.
However, it is likely that the foods will be back at restaurants in the future.

McDonald’s Mozzarella Dippers could be the sixth item to be removed from the menu next week, but it is not yet clear if this axing will go ahead.
The cheesy snack was reintroduced to the restaurant chain’s menu in February this year, and although McDonald’s removed some items from its menu in March, the dippers were not one of them.
After being launched on 10 February, the Grand Mac, Homestyle Crispy Chicken Burger, Cadbury Flake Chocolate McFlurry, and Cadbury Flake Raspberry McFlurry were all dropped from the McDonald’s menu on 23 March.
However, some customers were not happy and had begged the restaurant chain to keep the items for longer – or permanently – when they were first introduced.
One person wrote on Twitter: “Please keep the Homestyle crispy chicken forever, it’s so good.”
Another said: “Just letting you know that if you ever get rid of that new crispy chicken burger thingy, I’ll be raging.”

Many McDonald’s fans commented on the Mozzarella Dippers, suggesting that the item is a favourite among Britons.
One person said: “Please can you just keep the Mozzarella dippers forever??? I need them back, please!!!”
Another added: “Why don’t you do us a favour and keep the mozzarella dippers permanently please?”
In other McDonald’s news, the restaurant chain is introducing Pokémon toys to its Happy Meal boxes next month.
However, it will limit how many customers can get due to fears that the toys could sell out and be resold on eBay for hundreds of pounds.
