A food recall is issued when there is a discovery made about a certain product or food item that is deemed unsafe for the consumer. The latest recalls come from supermarkets including Morrisons and Asda.
Morrisons issued its recall via its website as well as the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The supermarket giant is recalling its Morrisons Milk Chocolate Amour Ice Creams in a three pack, 120ml.
It said: “Morrisons is recalling this product date code FEB 2023 because there is a risk that some packs may contain pieces of plastic.
“No other products or best before dates are affected.
“Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.
“No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
Morrisons isn’t the only supermarket to have recalled a food item this week.
Supermarket giant Asda issued its recall for a ready meal on its website as well as on the FSA website.
