Besides the occasional detour into green, shamrock-themed St. Patrick’s Day foods, Easter is the next major, marketable holiday on the calendar after Valentine’s Day and its endless parade of unnecessary food bouquets. While basket-ready candy (both traditional and bizarre) rightly gets most of the Easter spotlight, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways to add springtime-themed sugar to your diet.
For the latest such example, we turn to information unearthed by Instagram account @DadBodSnacks, who happened upon a “new” “flavor” of International Delight creamer that aims to mimic the taste of Reese’s wonderful Easter-themed Peanut Butter Eggs.
HOLY MOLY! What did International Delight do?!?! Did they tweak the recipe?? (Please confirm @indelight) I see a @reeses Egg on their latest creamer bottle. After reading the nutrition label, I think its just a seasonal redesign cuz none of the info was different, but I’m still VERY interested. Wouldn’t we all like to see the GOAT Reese’s Item be made into a creamer!!?? . . . #reeses #sorrynotsorry #reesescreamer #dadbod #dadbodsnacks #easter #reesesEgg #new #limited #seasonal #wow #omg #reeses4life

As evidenced by the new product’s presence alongside a more “normal” Reese’s creamer this product this Peanut Butter Egg flavor isn’t entirely new. If the nutrition label is any guide, @DadBodSnacks speculates that this might just be a “seasonal redesign” rather than something that’s actually meant to taste different. Given that some of the post’s commenters SWEAR that Reese’s eggs taste both different from and superior to the original peanut butter cup, you can’t entirely rule out the possibility of this seasonal edition featuring a different flavor just yet.
Of course, this isn’t the first unexpected Easter-themed creamer to hit store shelves. International Delight made waves with a super-sweet Peeps creamer, which has already been spotted in stores well ahead of Easter 2020. I’m not sure what would happen if you mixed Resse’s Peanut Butter Egg and Peeps creamers into one cup of coffee, but I know that it probably wouldn’t taste great.
If you’re one of those folks who needs the caffeine of coffee but have to disguise it with the taste of your favorite candy, though, this seasonal syrup should be welcome news. Maybe you can even do a taste test to see if it’s different from the OG Reese’s creamer. Just go easy on the sugar and caffeine.
