This New Churro Toaster Strudel Looks Almost Too Good to Be True

Gretchen Weiners’ father, the inventor of Toaster Strudels, would be very pleased about this news: Everyone’s favorite frozen breakfast pastry now comes in a churro flavor.

Junk food blogger @junkbanter spotted the new product on shelves at a small supermarket chain in the Northeast.

Very quietly, a new Toaster Strudel has joined the fray. I found these new Churro Toaster Strudel at Redners (a store that barely exists), and I had to do a double take to see if it really was new. Current and previous cinnamon flavors include Snickerdoodle, Cinnamon Roll, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Toaster Strudel, but unlike any of those, these Churro ones pair cinnamon sugar filling with a chocolate icing. Be on the lookout in a store near you, where you will probably not find them for another 3 months because that’s just how this stuff seems to work!

“Very quietly, a new Toaster Strudel has joined the fray,” the Instagram post reads. “I found these new Churro Toaster Strudel at Redners (a store that barely exists), and I had to do a double take to see if it really was new.”

Churro Toaster Strudels pair cinnamon sugar filling with chocolate icing, according to @junkbanter.

Not-so-surprisingly, the account’s followers were pumped to try the new treat.

“oh my dear lord I need these,” wrote one commenter.

“I AM SHOOK,” wrote another.

The flavor isn’t listed on Pillsbury’s website yet, but @junkbanter has a hunch that they’ll be rolling out in more grocery stores sometime in the next few months—so you’ll need to keep a lookout!

In the meantime, you can get your cinnamon fix with this delicious churro recipe.
