USTAD’S CHICKEN SOUP

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 . 1 onion, peeled, washed and chopped in cubes
  • 2 . 1 tomatoes, washed and chopped in cubes
  • 3 . 1 tsp. finely chopped ginger
  • 4 . 1 tsp. finely chopped garlic
  • 5 . 3 cubes of maggi chicken stock
  • 6 . 1/4 tbsp. salt
  • 7 . 2-3 cloves
  • 8 . 2-3 bay leaves
  • 9 . 2-3 black peppercorns
  • 10 . 2-3 green cardamoms
  • 11 . 2 inch piece cinnamon
  • 12 . water
  • 13 . 200 gm chicken, cleaned, washed, chopped in cubes and boiled
  • 14 . 2-3 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, washed and finely chopped

    DIRECTIONS

  • 1. In an open pot put all the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • 2. Lower flame, cover and allow to cook on slow heat for 2 hours.
  • 3. Once the chicken is tender strain the soup using a sieve.
  • 4. Serve hot.
  • 5. If the soup is remaining allow it to cool and then cover it and store it in the refrigerator.
