Wendy’s is planning to open 400 outlets across the UK, a move creating 12,000 jobs. It has already agreed to a delivery deal with Uber Eats.
A statement said: “The UK launch will spearhead a European-wide expansion as Wendy’s looks to build on strong growth on the other side of the Atlantic, where the brand last year dethroned Burger King to become the No 2 player in the US hamburger market.”
Where will Britons be able to get their hands on a Wendy’s burger?
The first outlet will open in Reading next month.
The Reading store will open on June 2.
