Wendy’s Is Offering Free Kids Meals Through Its App

As a childless person entering week six of The Great Quarantine, I have no choice but to tip my proverbial cap to the non-essential parents of the world juggling home-schooling, child rearing, and so many other seemingly impossible tasks while trapped at home during such an uncertain time. I’d say the least that every parent deserves at this point is some free food for their kids.

Luckily, that’s exactly what’s on offer from Wendy’s. If you download their app and place an order for yourself, you can score a free Kids Meal with your purchase for the low price of $0.00. Menu options include a hamburger, cheeseburger, four chicken nuggets, or a grilled chicken wrap (for healthy kids, I guess), plus one side and one drink. Not a bad deal.

If you at all have an interest in scoring free food during this strange and dangerous pandemic, you might want to spend some bandwidth downloading the Wendy’s app. Not only does it entitle you to this free kid’s meal offer, but they’ve been running a deal that nets you a free Breakfast Baconator if you’re willing to wake up early enough (though getting out of bed definitely isn’t required) and placing an order for the fast food chain’s much-hyped breakfast through your phone.

Though this Wendy’s deal isn’t the only instance of a fast food chain helping parents feed their kids for free during a difficult time. Burger King offered two free kids meals for every “adult” meal ordered, and others have stepped up as well. Still, it’s hard to beat the convenience of some free food for kids with just a few taps (plus a nice tip) sent from your smartphone.
