Weight loss is hard to achieve, so it’s little wonder slimmers like to take to social media to document their results. Coronation Street star Alan Halsall – who many may recognise for playing Tyrone Dobbs on the soap – has lost lots of weight over the years, and he’s been sharing his weight loss journey with his 150k Instagram followers. Last year, Alan posted a snap from Ibiza showing off his very taut abs. It is clear the actor has a fairly strict regimen when it comes to the gym especially.

The 37-year-old regularly uploads pictures of his gym sessions to his social media.
Just last month, he shared an image of him and co-star Sam Aston – who plays Chesney Brown – working out on rowing machines.
Fans rushed to comment on the images, as they praised Alan on his new body.
“Fit,” one simply wrote.
“Looking good there,” another said, as a third commented a series of muscle arm emojis.
How did he do it?
Alan recently opened up about his work out mantra, revealing it’s more than just exercise and diet that helps him stay in shape.
He said: “Health is not just about the weights you’re lifting or what you’re eating. It’s also about what you’re thinking and saying!!”
The actor told followers that he burns thousands of calories in a day.
In February he told a follower he burned a total of 4321 calories in 24 hours adding: “Room for a beer now.”
Despite slimming down, it’s clear from Alan’s Instagram that he still able to enjoy a beer every now and then.
Alan isn’t the only soap star to have lost an impressive amount of weight.
Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey lost an incredible two stone following the birth of her daughter Coco in 2017.
Speaking in an interview with The Sun, she said: “I’m lucky, I’ve snapped back. I haven’t stopped eating but I’ve just lost the two stone I gained.”
Although Chelsee hasn’t cut down on her portion sizes, she recently revealed she’d started eating healthier after becoming a mum.
Now, the 31-year-old drinks lots of green tea and water, which have both been proven to aid weight loss.
