Best weight loss: Woman shed an astounding 6st 8lb with diet plan – what did she eat?

Weight loss can be achieved in a number of different ways, with many Britons opting for a diet plan. One woman used Reddit to share her weight loss transformation and revealed she shed 6st 8lb. Posting on Reddit, she explained a low carb keto diet helped her slim down.

Sharing pictures of her before and after losing weight, the Reddit user “-Kree-” said she is 30-years-old and 5ft 7in.

She managed to drop an impressive 6st 8lb, going from 20st 2lb to a much healthier 13st 8lb.

The Reddit user explained she used a low carb diet plan to get into shape.

Following her own version of the keto, or ketogenic, diet, she focused on eating foods high in fats and protein instead.

When asked what she ate, the dieter explained: “In the simplest terms it’s just under 20g net carbs day.

“Nothing that grows under the ground and read the nutritional panel on the packet and if it has more than 5g carbs per 100g of product probably best to put it back.”

Those who follow the keto diet plan will eat foods low in carbs, high in fat and with a moderate protein content.

This often involves eating less than 25 grams net carbs a day to help the body enter into a state called ketosis.

While in ketosis, the body is thought to burn fat more quickly, Elliott Upton, personal trainer at Ultimate Performance and Head of LiveUP Online Coaching, explained.

He told “The idea of keto is to take in such a low amount of carbohydrates that your body switches to a metabolic state called ‘ketosis’ where it uses fat and ketones for fuel instead of glucose.

“People who follow the keto diet will eat a high proportion of their calories from fat, some protein and minimal or no intake from carbohydrates.”

When following the diet plan, those hoping to lose weight will opt for foods high in healthy fats.

“Common foods people eat on the keto diet tend to be anything with a high fat and low carbohydrate content,” Elliot added.

“For example oils, cheese and dairy products, eggs, nuts and some fatty meats or fish.”

Many dieters will combine a healthy diet plan with regular exercise to get into shape.

The user, “-Kree-“, explained she focused more on what she ate rather than following a workout plan.

When asked what exercise she did, she added: “I don’t exercise but I am more active.”

Other Reddit users were quick to comment on the post and praise the slimmer on her transformation.

One wrote: “I bet you feel great! You look fantastic – way to go!!!”
