Jamie explained that he managed to shed the weight thanks to all the dance training he has been doing.

Thanks to his gruelling regime he “can finally see his feet in the shower” after losing his “pot belly,” the celebrity told The Sun.

He said he could even make out his abs now.

Jamie is now encouraging those who want to lose weight to take up dancing.

“I’ve lost over a stone now, which is insane,” he said.

“I honestly encourage anyone who wants to lose some weight to take up dancing!”

However, the star added the strict training left him exhausted.

According to health website Fitday, to lose weight by dancing, you should strive for at least 20 minutes of dance time with an accelerated heart-rate at least four to five days a week.

The site advises starting with a five-minute warm-up and ending with a five-minute cool-down, making for a 30-minute workout in total

It’s important to engage your abs properly when you dance in order to help tighten the muscles.

Other health benefits of dancing include improved heart and lung health, improved coordination, agility and flexibility, as well as strengthened muscles, improved endurance and motor fitness, among others.

Types of dance you can try include Zumba, Hip Hop, Belly Dancing, Freestyle and Pole Dancing.

Dancing with a friend is a good way to keep you motivated if you’re worried you can’t commit.

What you eat continues to play an important part in your weight loss journey.

Health website Very Well Fit recommends: “To make your dance workout more effective, pair the exercise routine with a nutritious, calorie-controlled diet.”
