When beginning a diet, it’s often best not to overcomplicate things. If a slimmer is looking for a plan that helps with losing weight, burning fat or improving health, there is one particular diet plan that is perfect, the Keto, or Ketogenic, diet, especially when looking to drop weight quickly.

What is the Keto diet?

There are many variations of the Keto diet, and it is very popular among celebrities, fitness experts, and slimmers. The Keto, or Ketogenic, diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet that offers many health benefits and shares many similarities to the popular Atkins and other low-carb diets.

The Keto diet is an eating plan that drives a slimmers body into Ketosis, a state where the body uses fat as a primary fuel source (instead of carbohydrates). Many slimmers on the plan will eat less than 25 grams net carbs a day in order for their body to enter the fat-burning “Ketosis” state.

In Ketosis, a slimmer’s body becomes incredibly effective at burning fat, and the more stored fat is used as a fuel, the more fat and weight a slimmer will lose.

It may sound unconventional to eat a high-fat diet to burn fat and lose weight, but the diet is in fact well studied and proven. In short, any food that is high in carbs should be limited.

It focuses on limiting carbohydrates intakes and upping fat, and some protein.

Lisa Miller, a slimmer and fitness enthusiast, shared the Keto meal plan she uses to drop pounds quickly.

She said: “I’m constantly on the Keto diet. I don’t even think of it as a diet but more as a lifestyle.

“At the beginning I used a simple Keto weight loss plan for beginners to plan my meals. There is a variety of Keto recipe that are easy to follow.

“It really helped me drop weight quickly [and] it gave me the building blocks to tailor the diet to my needs and lifestyle.”

As well as following the Keto diet plan, Lisa Millar also incorporates simple, yet, daily exercise workout to boost her weight loss and maintain the progress she has achieved.

“I like to do home workouts as they’re simple and I can do them in the comfort of my home.

“I aim to do at least 30 minutes of exercise daily to keep fit,” she added.
