Did the star follow a diet plan? Lorraine claimed she followed one simple rule, making a small change.

This helped her slim down to a size 10 from a size 14.

Lorraine claimed she didn’t think diets worked, instead focusing on being active.

Lorraine claimed to use her own fitness DVDs to lose weight.

“I really look forward to my classes, and with the new DVD we wanted to show what a class was like,” she said.

“It’s great going to keep fit but mentally it also makes me feel better.”

She said: “I don’t think diets work. It’s all about portion control.

“My husband cooks for me and sometimes I ask, ‘How many people are coming round?’.

Jennie McAlpine’s weight loss saw her lose three dress sizes.

Speaking to the Mirror in 2009, Jennie said: “I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh.

“Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science!”

She continued: “If you eat more of the good stuff and take more exercise then you’ll lose weight.”

While staying healthy is important to Jennie, she explained she is not strict with herself and won’t let what she eats affect her.

“It’s really not worth beating yourself up over it,” Jennie added.
