Oti Mabuse is a professional Latin American and ballroom dancer who appears on Strictly Come Dancing. In the new series, she was originally paired with reality TV star, Jamie Laing, however he soon pulled out due to an injury. She is now paired with Emmerdale actor, Kelvin Fletcher, 35, and the pair are well underway practicing for the show. With a gruelling training regime on Strictly, it is no surprise she follows a healthy diet and fitness routine.
The only way my body responds to any form of exercise is through dance. I think that’s what keeps me in shape.

When it comes to keeping herself in good shape, Oti’s main form of exercise is dancing, she told Women’s Health South Africa.
She said: “I’m not really one for the gym. For me, the only way my body responds to any form of exercise is through dance. I think that’s what keeps me in shape.”
Oti may be a professional dancer, but she will still take part in different classes from hip-hop to jazz.
As well as this, Oti will occasionally train with weights and focuses on cardio, such as running, to stay trim.
She told the publication: “I do 45 minutes on the treadmill when I have time. I prefer to actually just dance and run because that’s more fun.”
With such an active lifestyle, Oti pays attention to following a healthy diet and tries to eat intuitively.
“I don’t restrict myself in any way. I feel like if my body wants something, I should give it that,” Oti said.
Instead of cutting things out of her diet, Oti will take supplements to ensure she has all the nutrients she needs for her workouts.
She explained: “I would never advise anybody to take anything out of their diet.
“I do take vitamins and minerals like magnesium and iron, parsley and omega 3, just stuff to keep my muscle memory strong, to keep going and to feed my brain.”
Katya Jones is a dancer and choreographer on Strictly and has managed to spring back into shape after gaining weight over Christmas.
She opened up to say she gained five kilograms over the show and turned to exercise to help her slim down.
This year’s Strictly contestant, Viscountess Emma Weymouth, also uses exercise to stay in shape.
The model and chef is a fan of quick workouts and follows a high intensity exercise programme called Tabata.
As well as she has spoken before about how body weight exercises are something she does which can be done anywhere.
