Queen Camilla, 75, has taken on a huge number of engagements since becoming the Queen Consort, and looks absolutely fantastic. What diet does the royal likely follow?

Camilla has been open about her love of vegetables and healthy eating in the past and has even been photographed wearing her FitBit on royal engagements.

Sarah Campus, a Personal Trainer and nutrition coach spoke to Express.co.uk about the Queen’s likely diet and how she looks so good at age 75.

She claimed: “Queen Camilla leads a healthy, active lifestyle and is consistent with it. She is [likely] balanced with her eating without restrictions and eats organic quality foods. She gets quality sleep and enjoys the outdoors.

“She also has an exercise watch, a FitBit, which helps her track her activity levels. It is also thought that Queen Camilla may use a collagen supplement as well such as Correxiko – a premium marine-based collagen which is shown to be beneficial for healthy joints, skin and anti-ageing.”

If this is the case, then it may explain why the royal continues to look so good at age 75.

Sarah continued: “The Queen Consort leads a very healthy lifestyle with her husband King Charles. Camilla particularly enjoys eating hearty meals using fresh produce, a lot actually which is produced on their estate.

“At the age of 75, Camilla’s complexion is glowing and a lot of this is likely down to what she consumes being so organic, colourful and varied. In terms of their nutrition however Camilla is a huge fan of eggs, particularly scrambled which are from King Charles’s own chickens in Highgrove.” Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles, who himself is a trained chef, previously opened up about his mother’s love of scrambled eggs.

Sarah added: “For lunch, Camilla likely aims to include as many good fats as possible from sources such as avocados, fish and almonds, all of which again would contribute to her glowing complexion. 

“Camilla believes in a balanced diet without restrictions and doesn’t believe in any of the fad diets,” which the Queen Consort has openly spoken about.

She suggested trends like “clean eating”, which can see people cut out calcium-rich foods, are “the worst thing to do”.

“It is this ridiculous dieting, cutting out dairy and all the things that are good for your bones,” the Queen told the Daily Mail. “These girls see ‘Skinny Lizzies’ in a magazine and they all want to be thin. It’s about social media, too.”

Sarah explained: “Camilla feels that cutting out dairy for example is ridiculous as such an important source of calcium for joints and bones.

“For dinner time Camilla particularly enjoys lamb and any leftovers she would use for a meal the following day, such as a shepherd’s pie. She also likes chicken casseroles, steaks, baked salmon and roast chicken.”

Royal fans would know this to be true, as Camilla’s former royal chef, Carolyn Robb, previously spoke Racked about the King and Queen: “They were always very thrifty and economical. If we made roasted lamb and there were leftovers, we’d probably go and make shepherd’s pie the next night.”

Sarah noted: “Even though King Charles believes in veganism, Camilla believes that balance is very important. In terms of snacking Camilla has said she likes raw peas straight from the pod, but also will happily accept something sweet.”

The expert opened up about the exercises which the Queen Consort enjoys. She said: “Camilla particularly enjoys yoga and pilates to keep her core strong, her body supple, and to help avoid back pain.

“She incorporates deep breathing into her exercises to help her unwind and relax. Camilla is also a big fan of the outdoors, so thrives on walking with her dogs around her estate, and spending time in the hills.

“The fresh air and outdoors particularly contribute to improved sleep quality, overall well-being and boosting the endorphins.”

Queen Camilla has additionally opened up about her love for ballet, and last year she told professional ballet dancer Darcey Bussell that she is “completely hooked”.

Speaking about her love for the Silver Swan ballet workouts for over 55s, which she took up during lockdown, she said: “I can do a little barre work. I do the Silver Swans. I’ve got it this afternoon. I’ve been completely hooked. I love it… We sort of crash about the place. We have no barre either so it just makes it even harder.”
