Scarlett Moffatt weight loss: Gogglebox star shares how she lost the weight

Scarlett Moffatt is a presenter and reality star who has appeared on many television shows across the years. After first starring on Gogglebox, she has since worked on many different shows including Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Aside from her career, fans have noticed her incredible body transformation she has been through.

The 30-year-old has spoken openly about her weight loss and even brought out a fitness DVD to show her followers and fans her routine.

The reality TV star slimmed down from a size 18 to a size ten by controlling her calorie intake.

She also revealed that she dropped six bra cups from a JJ to a DD as well as losing four dress sizes.

To lose weight, Scarlett had the help of a personal trainer who gave her a calorie-controlled diet plan.

Following the plan, the TV star was limited to 1,350 calories a day which was split across breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast would be 250 calories, lunch would be 350 calories and dinner would be 450.

She could also have up to 300 calories worth of snacks including fat free yoghurt.

However each person’s calorie requirement varies from person to person and it is important to consult a doctor or dietician before undertaking a huge calorie deficit.

The recommended daily calorie intake for women is 2000 calories and by eating less, dieters will lose weight very quickly when combined with exercise.

Also after adding exercise into her routine, Scarlett dropped from a starting weight of 12st to a tiny 8st.

Since her weight loss, she regularly posts on Instagram keeping her two million followers up to date with her exercise routine and weight loss.

She said that she ditched the alcohol and takeaways as well as hitting the gym regularly to help with her weight loss.

Scarlett’s SuperSilm Me Plan which came out on DVD in 2016 includes an eating plan with healthy food options including scrambled eggs for breakfast and a grilled tuna steak for dinner.

She recently took to Instagram posting a photo in a swimming costume posting a defiant message.

The post read: “Hi my names Scarlett, I have boobs, hips and cellulite but am I gonna stop that from taking a photo and posting it for all to see…no!! Feeling brave.”

In an interview with The Sun, she said: “I was so focused on staying slim I stopped being sociable.

However now, Scarlett says she is much more content with her routine.

“I’m happy with life. I’ve got the balance right,” she added.

Scarlett isn’t the only I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here star who has been through a body transformation.

Emily Atack, who was runner up on the show in 2017, lost an impressive half a stone when living on the basic diet of rice and beans for three weeks in the show.

She said that the weight loss boosted her confidence and she felt that she no longer needed to edit the photos of herself to post online.
