People lose weight for different reasons, and for Jenny, it was so she would be able to feel better in her body and consequently, her mind. The 32-year-old lost a whopping four stone in just four months.

Speaking about her weight loss transformation, Jenny recalled being bullied about her weight at school.

She said: “Growing up I was never the athletic or fit kid who was part of a sports team or even enjoyed exercising.

“In fact I was a chubby kid and was bullied about my weight for most of my life, which had a huge impact on my mental health.

“Since leaving school I have always made it my prerogative to get fit and healthy and stay that way, so now I am the complete opposite to what I once was.”

Doing exercise naturally became a part of Jenny’s life, making her physically and mentally healthier.

She said: “I absolutely love exercising and working out, and I am always doing something that involves moving my body.

“I even do my work emails while walking up and down the stairs just to get my steps in.

“I truly believe that without fitness that my business and marriage would have failed.”

However, after giving birth, Jenny said she “had a really hard time learning to love my body again”.

She continued: “Like many, I couldn’t recognise what I saw in the mirror and although I was thankful for my body giving me my son, Jaxon, I felt grotesque and so unlike myself.

“I cut myself some slack the first couple of months, but as soon as I could exercise, I was determined to get back into my pre-baby body.”

With the support of her husband and a fitness app called Freeletics, Jenny became active once again, saying: “With the moral support from my husband I’ve smashed my goals and I am stronger than I have ever been.”

Describing the app, Jenny added: “The app was a great tool to use and it got me back into exercising again.

“We mainly used their 15-minute training journey workouts, meaning that we burned hundreds of calories in such a short amount of time and I could choose the intensity depending on my energy levels on the day.”

The app was a brilliant alternative to going to the gym during the pandemic, and it enabled Jenny and her husband to “juggle parenting and work all at the same time”.

The 32-year-old continued: “Once Jaxon could go to nursery, we started using the app at the gym as well since they introduced some weight and strength workouts.

“It really is the all-round app.”

A healthy diet is just as important as exercise when it comes to weight loss, and Jenny has made some healthy swaps since the beginning of her transformation journey.

Instead of bacon, eggs, or a sugary cereal, she now eats a banana with natural yoghurt for breakfast.

As for lunch, she opts for a Greek salad instead of her usual pasta with tomato sauce and cheese.

Lastly, dinner is chicken, fish, or red meat with plenty of vegetables.

This meal is healthier and contains more protein than steak and chips or spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread.
