Apple Pie Fries



  1. 2 pie crust
  2. 1 1/2 cup apple pie filling
  3. 1 egg
  4. to taste sparkling sugar
  5. 1 cup caramel sauce


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Chop the apple pie filling using a knife or a food processor if you have one.

  3. Unroll the pie crust and spread the apple pie filling onto one of them, leaving a 1/8″ border around the edge. Then cover with the other crust and press the sides together to secure.

  4. Make an egg wash by mixing the egg with a splash of water.

  5. Brush some egg wash on top of the crust and sprinkle the sparkling sugar over the crust to mimic the look of salty fries. Cut strips about 1/2″ thick and cut those into fry shapes.

  6. Place them carefully on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 12 minutes or until they’re golden and firm.

  7. Serve with caramel sauce as a sweet ‘ketchup’ for dipping!
