Beef & Broccoli

  1. 1 pound flank steak (thinly sliced across the grain)
  2. 1 head broccoli (cut into florets)
  3. 2/3 cup soy sauce
  4. 1/2 cup chicken stock
  5. 1/4 cup honey
  6. 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  7. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  8. 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  9. 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  10. 1 tablespoon corn starch
  11. 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  12. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  13. 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds


  1. Whisk together soy sauce, chicken stock, honey, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, ginger, and 1/4 cup of water in a medium bowl and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat, then add steak and cook, stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Stir in broccoli and soy sauce mixture until tender and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Take it of the heat and garnish with the toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately with steamed rice, enjoy.
