Best Crock Pot Chicken

I love rotisserie chicken! If you cook your chicken in a crock pot correctly, the result looks and tastes just like it was cooked rotisserie style!


  1. 3-4 lb whole chicken
  2. 4 tblsp onion powder
  3. 4 tblsp garlic powder
  4. 4 tblsp paprika
  5. 2 tsp salt
  6. 3-4 tblsp oil
  7. 1/2 C water


  1. Combine seasonings and oil in a small bowl, it should be like a loose paste

  2. Rinse chicken and pat dry

  3. Rub the seasoning paste all over the chicken until the sides and top are covered

  4. Place chicken breast side up in a large 4-6 quart crock pot, add the water (don’t pour over the chicken!)

  5. Place lid on the crock, turn heat to LOW and cook for 8-9 hours

  6. If you use high heat, the meat will be rather rubbery

  7. When done, the chicken will practically fall off the bone

  8. If freezing leftovers, cool the meat to room temperature before packing and freezing
