Lima Beans and Shallots

Lima beans arethe foods of the Native Americans. Just a simple recipe from natural places!!


  1. 1 pound lima beans
  2. 1/4 pound smoked pork
  3. To taste salt
  4. 1/3 stick butter
  5. 2 tablespoons thinly sliced shallots
  6. 1-1/4 cup water divided


  1. Thinly slice the shallots. Heat the beans and smoked pork. Add 1/4 cup water. Cook covered till water is absorbed, and beans are slightly browned.

  2. Add water, butter, and shallots. Deglaze the pan with the remaining water. Cook 7-10 minutes. Serve I hope you enjoy!!
