Low-carb Biscuits, American

A low-carb drop biscuit.


  1. 1/4 cup cultured buttermilk
  2. 1 large egg
  3. 1 pinch kosher salt
  4. 1 cup almond flour
  5. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  7. 1 teaspoon xanthan gum


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. In one bowl mix the buttermilk, egg, and salt. In another bowl combine the almond flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, and baking soda.

  3. Now mix them all together. Use a desert spoon to drop onto a baking pan lined with waxed paper. Make sure to spray the paper with nonstick spray.

  4. Bake 15-20 minutes. Serve immediately. I hope you enjoy!

  5. These can be frozen.
