Mom's Meatloaf

Ingredients

  1. Meatloaf base:
  2. 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  3. 1 large onion (diced)
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 cup Kelloggs cornflake crumbs
  6. 1 cup ketchup
  7. 1/2 cup parsley
  8. 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  9. 2 tsp onion powder
  10. 1 tsp soy sauce
  11. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  12. Meatloaf Topping:
  13. 1/2 cup ketchup
  14. 2 packed Tbsp brown sugar
  15. 1/2 tsp dry mustard

Steps

  1. Pregeat oven to 350 degrees

  2. In a large bowl mix all the meatloaf base ingredients and then place into 9×13 glass baking dish. You want to have a little space between the outside edges of the dish and the meatloaf.

  3. In a small dish or 2 cup measuring cup add the meatloaf topping ingredients and mix well.

  4. Spread topping over the meatloaf.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes before serving
