We all have our morning favorites…our comfort foods to setup our day just right.

Besides raisin toast, which I absolutely adore, I love having either an onion or vegetable bagel with fresh, homemade vegetable cream cheese.

Let’s face it folks, the store bought versions are simply deplorable! There is nothing like fresh vegetables and the right seasoning in your cream cheese to start your day out right.

Ingredients

  1. 1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese
  2. 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onions
  3. 1/2 cup finely chopped red peppers
  4. 1 tsp. Grill Mates Garden Vegetable Seasoning

Steps

  1. Bring boxed/wrapped cream cheese out and set on counter for about 15 minutes. We want to get the chill out of it so we can thoroughly mix it effortlessly.

  2. Unwrap cream cheese and drop into a mixing bowl. To this, add the prepared onions and red peppers. What I like to do is to actually pour the veggies over the cream cheese and cover it completely. And then throw the seasoning on top and walk away for 5 minutes. The water and juice from the onions and peppers will seep into the cream cheese and further break it down for the mix.

  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

  4. Of course you can use any fresh vegetable of your choice as substitutes or additions. Use your imagination!
