Siomay Ayam Udang / Steamed Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings

The smmount of tapioca depends on how chewy you want them to be, but the more tapioca means the less the taste of ghe chicken and shrimp will be.

  1. 250 grams minced chicken
  2. 250 gram minced shrimp
  3. 10-12 tbsp Tapioca, I used about
  4. 7 garlics, smashed and minced
  5. 25 dumpling wrappers
  6. Salt
  7. Pepper
  8. 1 egg
  9. Iced water


  1. Add in the shrimp and chicken as well as the egg. Mix well slowly.

  2. Then add in the tapioca flour. As desired. Mix well slowly again.

  3. Add in the water, just enough to make the dough moist. Then add the seasonings. Taste test.

  4. Prepare the wrappers. Brush them on both side with some water.

  5. Take a wrapper, add about 1 tbsp of the dough, shape it.

  6. Do until everything is done.

  7. Steam on a preheated steamer until they are cooked.

  8. Serve with your favourite sauce.
