I love the lemony tang to this version
- Pound cake (homemade or store bought)
- 2 lbs strawberries
- 1 large lemon zest and juice
- Sugar to taste (depends on how sweet your strawberries are)
- Whipped cream
Wash, destem and quarter strawberries
Zest the lemon
Juice the lemon
Put quartered straberries in a bowl add sugar, zest and lemon juice. Put in refrigerator for a couple hours.
Slice poundcake (I like to toast mine in the toaster oven), top with strawberries and whipped cream.
