Super Protein Bars

I always wanted to try to make protein bars. They are very easy to grab and go. Here is how ended up with.(If you don’t have almond meal you can make your own with pulsing whole almonds in a food processor until get crumbly texture has formed. Do little pulses, do not use processor continuously , unless you want almond “butter”) Choose your own ingredients , I don’t like chocolate very much , but you can add in the mixture. You can also wrap them individually and freeze them.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 tsp any vanilla emextract
  2. 1/2 cup almond meal
  3. Pinch salt
  4. 1 cup (or more) honey
  5. 1 tbs almond butter
  6. 1/2 cup craisins or cranberries
  7. 1 1/2 cups whole almonds
  8. 1/2 cup pistachios
  9. 1 tbs chia seeds
  10. 1 tbs hemp seeds
  11. 1 tbs flax seeds
  12. 1/4 cups plums

Steps

  1. Heat oven to 300 F, make tour almond meal with pulsing almond in a food processor. Add honey, vanilla, salt and almond butter together mix very good. Prepare a baking pan line with a parchment paper with enough paper left on the side of baking dish so you can remover the bars from the pan easily. Gold tour dry ingredients ( craisins, pistachio, plums almonds, flax, hemp and chia seeds,

  2. Transfer the mixture to baking dish and press to make very flat and firm. If is not tight enough, may be your dish is big, Find smaller dish. Or add more nuts or cranberries. But don’t forget you may need more honey to hold them together.

  3. Bake them for 20 mins. Remove from oven cook them then transfer to the refrigerator to chill. Remove the bar mixture holding paper on the sides of baking dish, and cut into bars I wrap them individually, while I was doing it I press them together so they can hold better in the freezer.

  4. I kept them in same baking dish so they can press each other and be kept firm. Hope you like them.
