Tesco has recalled three Free From snacks because they contain gluten which is not mentioned on the label.<\/p>\n
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) stated: \u201cTesco is recalling Tesco Free From Onion Rings, Tesco Free From Cheese Flavour Balls, and Tesco Free From Bacon Rashers because they contain gluten which is not mentioned on the label.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and\/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten.\u201d<\/p>\n
The FSA advised: \u201cIf you have bought the above products and have coeliac disease, and\/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten, do not eat them.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cInstead return them to the store from where they were purchased for a full refund. For more information please contact Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n The FSA assured customers that Tesco is taking action to ensure their safety:\u00a0\u201c<\/span>Tesco is recalling the above products from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.\u201d<\/p>\n The notice read: \u201cWe have been made aware that some packs of Tesco Free From Crisps 150g, may have Gluten present in the product.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThis is not declared on the packaging and could therefore pose a safety risk to those people with an allergy or intolerance to gluten.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease do not consume this product if you have an allergy or intolerance to Gluten, return the affected product to store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.\u201d<\/p>\n The supermarket apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused and urged them to contact Customer Services on 0800505555.<\/p>\n The FSA outlined why food recalls happen: \u201cSometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold.<\/p>\n \u201cThen it might be ‘withdrawn’ (taken off the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (when customers are asked to return the product).<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk.\u00a0When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert.\u201d<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/14\/590x\/secondary\/Tesco-Free-From-Onion-Rings-150g-4833608.jpg?r=1688201554424\")
