According to supermarkets, if kept in a fruit bowl, grapes have a shelf life of two to four days before they start to go wrinkly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
If grapes are kept in the fridge, they last for five to 10 days, but there\u2019s a clever storage solution that can see grapes remain firm, juicy and mould-free for three weeks to a month.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Britain tends to sell grapes in a plastic tub with a flimsy cellophane cover, and the small holes in the packaging allow air to circulate throughout the fruit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Households are advised to \u201cwash before use\u201d, which means washing grapes before consumption, but washing grapes adds excess moisture and in turn, grapes can decompose – or go mouldy – faster.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alongside not washing grapes until you want to eat them, they should be stored in the crisper drawer at the bottom of the fridge. But if the crisper drawer is full of other fruits and vegetables, the middle of the fridge will do.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The airflow and chill of the fridge will help preserve the fruit for about three weeks, according to experts at Real Simple.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But if you still find your grapes going wrinkly or mouldy, try storing them in a mason jar or airtight container.\u00a0<\/p>\n
