Greggs fans will benefit from a brand new store in London which opened its doors to customers today, Friday, November 17.

The British bakery giant has more than 2,400 stores across the UK which sell their trademark goods including sausage rolls, steak bakes and Yum-Yum’s, among other things.

Since it was established in 1939 in Tyneside, England, the fast-food chain has expanded across all areas of the country.

A Greggs spokesperson said: “Earlier this year we set out to open 150 net new shops; we have today opened a brand new shop in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush and are planning to open several more shops across the UK by the end of the year.”

Its latest branch opening marks a poignant addition to one of the capital city’s busiest shopping centres just one year after its enormous Leicester Square site made its debut.
